Official opening of Rosanna Lawn Tennis Club’s pavilion
On Sunday April 9th 2017 Rosanna LTC held the formal opening and blessing of their newly extended and refurbished club house. The event was graced with sunshine and the large attendance included Archdeacon Eugene Everard, current members, generations of past members, many community representatives, as well as friends from local tennis clubs. The development includes an extension to the rear providing toilets, shower, storeroom, kitchen and disabled access. The original building has been refurbished in keeping with it’s status as a protected structure, it’s character and unique charm have been retained.
The development was funded by a large grant from the Sports Capital partnership, a smaller grant from the Built Heritage Trust, finance from Tipperary Credit Union, and a very generous response to fundraising from our members and the local community. On the day a Patrons Wall Scheme was launched as an additional fundraiser. Please click here for further details.
The committee sincerely thank all our members and the wider community for their strong support; we welcome all who wish to consider playing tennis in Rosanna.
